I generally agree with what you’ve stated, but with an exception: rolling out of bed and start lifting doesn’t work for the older/master weightlifter. When I started lifting in the ’70s, I don’t recall doing anything but some shoulder stretches with a broom handle and a couple of squats with just body weight. Now, some 35+ years later, it takes me a while to get comfortable in the bottom position. That may change/improve if I continue to work on stretching on my non-lifting days. I do envy the fact that you, Jon and Caleb are able to go directly from coaching the kids to immediately begin your training. See you Saturday.
